At our dog training center, located within the Saint Hubert Farm—nestled in 23 hectares of truffle-rich land—we specialize in training high-performance truffle dogs. We take care of the entire process, from selection to final delivery. Drawing on decades of experience in training operational K9 units for the detection of explosives, narcotics, and other substances, we offer reliable, motivated, and precise working dogs.

A Complete Process: From Selection to Training

It all begins with choosing the most suitable puppy:

Our puppies are either bred in our S. Donato kennel—where we select balanced, curious, and cooperative dogs with strong motivation—or sourced from carefully chosen partner breeders.

Once selected, the puppy begins a personalized program of development, socialization, and training at our facility. In natural and stimulating environments, it will learn to search for truffles in real-world contexts, day by day, guided by expert trainers.

Delivery Time & Process
Each dog is trained to meet the specific needs of the client. The full program lasts between 9 and 12 months, after which the dog is delivered ready to work in partnership with its new handler. We take care of every step internally: feeding, daily care, enrichment, technical training, and overall mental and physical wellbeing.

• One personalized theory session, covering motivation, conditioning, olfactory imprinting, and handling techniques

• Practical field sessions, tailored to your dog’s level (puppy, beginner, intermediate, or advanced)

• Natural truffle hunt outing (during truffle season), searching for real truffles in the woods

• One-on-one coaching with a professional trainer to correct mistakes, build skills, and answer all your questions

Where the Course Takes Place

The course is held at our professional dog training center located within Azienda Agricola Saint Hubert in Cantalupo Ligure (AL). Spanning 23 hectares of woodland terrain rich in truffles, the environment is ideal for both real searches and realistic simulations.
